OnePLUS LAUNCHES OnePLUS 9 It's no secret that OnePus has struggled with consistency in its smartphone cameras over the years, but with the new OnePlus 9 series, the company hopes to bring an end to all of the bad press. The new camera sensors for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro were co-developed with Hasselblad, a Swedish camera company that promises to bring its legendary color science to OnePlus phone cameras. Hasselblad, best known for its medium format cameras that captured the Apollo moon landings (hence the teasers), has announced a long-term relationship with OnePlus. It's not unusual for smartphone manufacturers to collaborate with a well-known camera or lens manufacturers in order to increase their products' legitimacy. When done correctly, it will produce excellent results that benefit the end-user, as Sony's a long-standing partnership with Zeiss and Huawei's partnership with Leica demonstrate.
